Good Lord, the iPod rumors are starting again. Think Secret is claiming Apple is set to release a 60GB version with a 2-inch color LCD, iPhoto synchronization, and audio/video-out to fit into their currently absent $500 price point. Their sources say the new units are already in production and should see delivery within the next 30 to 60 days.
I think the 60GB hard drive is a no-brainer—that’s totally happening. As for the color screen and video out, it’s anybody’s guess. The newer chipsets that the 4th gen and mini operate on do have the capability to do this, and iPhoto sync is a lot more “Jobs-y” than a portable video player, but you can never tell with these cracked out Cupertino types. We will, of course, let you know as soon as we hear anything else.
