Samsung was making big news today, everything from new phones, to Blackberry Connect support, to WiMAX, to HSDPA and even Mobile TV. We already touched on two of the new phones from Samsung, the t719 and the A960, but that is just scratching the surface of Samsung news today. Get it all, after the jump.
The t509 is a candybar style phone that is expected to be the slimmest bar phone in the U.S. once it launches this spring. Measuring in at only .38-inches thick, this phone features a bright 262k-color screen, Bluetooth, EDGE and an integrated camera. It will be made available for T-Mobile.
We mentioned the t719 earlier today, but there are also a couple other revolutionary phones from Samsung. The zx20 features high-speed HSDPA capabilities and the t709 has Wi-Fi/UMA connectivity.
Samsung is also making a stronger push into the Mobile TV market by offering seven different handsets that features a wide range of mobile broadcasting platforms, including: Terrestrial DMB, Satellite DMB, DVB-H and MediaFLO.
In WiMAX news, Samsung unveiled its IP-based Multimedia Subsystem that will operate on a WiMAX network. This service will enable the global availability converged telecom services. They also unveiled the status of the Mobile WiMAX development throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Good news all around, Samsung.
