Just announced yesterday, the Dell Ultrasharp 2405FP has been reviewed by Loyd Case over at ExtremeTech, and it looks like it’s worth waiting for the March introduction. The number one thing is price: $1,200 for the 24-inch widescreen, besting the cheapest competitors by almost $400. And if you figure that the typical Dell discounts and coupons will apply, it should be possible to get the new monitor for under a grand.

More good news: the monitor now features component in (the smaller models have s-video in, at best). And when a reviewer says, “it’s almost too big,” you know you have to get one.
