The DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo is the full kit version of DJI’s beginner-to-intermediate drone, packaged with three batteries, a DJI RC controller with a built-in 5.5-inch screen, a two-way charging hub, spare propellers, and a shoulder bag. The drone weighs under 249 grams, which is low enough to avoid FAA registration and records 4K HDR video through a three-axis gimbal that rotates 90 degrees into a true vertical orientation for portrait content without post-cropping.

Check out Amazon to get the DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo for $499, down from its usual price of $719. That’s a $220 discount and 31% off.

The perfect drone combo kit for casual users and newbies alike

The Mini 3 Hardware sits one level above the Mini 4K in DJI’s product line. The camera has a larger 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with Dual Native ISO, which translates into greater ability to shoot in very low-light conditions and greater contrast between areas of high brightness and shadow. It is the sensor that makes Mini 3 footage look more like what you would see from a commercial drone than from a consumer model.

True vertical shooting is the most noticeable feature social-first shooters will see when they get their hands on the Mini 3. The gimbal rotates 90 degrees, allowing the sensor to capture a true 9:16 portrait frame rather than cropping a horizontal shot by 50% and losing an equal amount of resolution. This is important because all major social platforms support vertically framed video, so your video uploads won’t have black bars on either side.

Each battery delivers about 38 minutes of flight in calm conditions, and three add up to 114 minutes of air time before anyone needs a wall outlet. The two-way charging hub rotates power between batteries and can output through USB to charge a phone or controller from whichever battery has the most juice, handy on a long shoot in the field.

The included DJI RC controller is the real reason to pick this combo over the base version. A built-in 5.5-inch HD screen means no phone is required to fly, the DJI Fly app comes pre-installed, and the display stays readable in direct sunlight at 700 nits. The controller eliminates the friction of mounting a phone, launching an app, and dealing with battery drain on a personal device during flights.

Video transmission runs on DJI’s O2 system at ranges up to 10 kilometers, which matters less for how far you’ll actually fly and more for how reliable the connection stays at normal distances. GPS auto return, Level 5 wind resistance up to 38 km/h, QuickShots automated maneuvers, and MasterShots one-tap capture all come standard.

The DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo is on sale for $499 instead of the usual $719. The $220 savings roughly covers the cost of the DJI RC controller alone, meaning the extra batteries, charging hub, and shoulder bag effectively come free compared to buying the base Mini 3 and piecing together accessories later.
