A new digital video recorder/DVD burner from Toshiba. The D-R1 uses Gemstar’s programming info, so it can double as a TiVo or a ReplayTV, but it also has a couple of other cool features that both of those DVRs lack, like a FireWire port for dumping video from a camcorder to its hard drive and some basic video editing software so you can pick and choose which scenes end up getting burned to a DVD-RAM.
