The Dyson Car+Boat Handheld Vacuum is a cordless handheld built to clean the spots your full-size vacuum can’t reach. Car interiors, couch cushions, and the gap between the stove and the counter are all within your reach with this tiny vacuum. It comes with three tool attachments, offers two power modes, and delivers up to 50 minutes of runtime per charge. Dyson positioned the motor and battery around the handle, so the weight stays close to your hand instead of pulling forward at odd angles. It’s a plug-in-to-charge unit with no swappable battery, so it lives wherever you dock it between uses.

Head over to Amazon to get the Dyson Car+Boat Handheld Vacuum for just $229, down from its usual price of $300. That’s a $71 discount and 24% off.

There are many options for the three tools inside the box. For example, if you have couches, upholstered chairs, or need to clean the interior of your vehicle, you would use the Mini Motorized Head Tool. It has a small rotating brush head that pulls loose hair and ground-in dirt from upholstery. In addition, the Combination Tool has a larger nozzle area than the mini motorized tool, making it better suited for heavier cleaning jobs, and it also features a flip-out brush for dusting. Finally, you’ll find a Crevice Tool that is designed for getting into tight spaces and will reach around 7″ down into tight spaces such as the seam in a door or under and behind furniture.

The suction is rated at 115 Air Watts, which, in real terms, means it picks up debris from hard surfaces and pulls embedded dirt out of fabric with minimal effort. Low mode stretches the battery to the full 50 minutes and handles most quick cleanups fine. Boost mode gives you a noticeable jump in power for tougher stuff, though it drains the battery faster. The suction doesn’t taper off as the charge drops, either, which is a nice change from cheaper handhelds.

The Dyson filtration system traps allergens and fine dust inside the machine, preventing them from being blown back into the air. If you’re prone to allergies, this can greatly enhance your experience. However, the bin is small, as you’d expect on a handheld, so plan to empty it more often than you would with a stick vacuum.

The Dyson Car+Boat Handheld Vacuum is great for tight spaces, has strong suction for its size, and it is a bargain at $229. The battery lasts long enough to finish most jobs in one go, and the filtration keeps everything trapped inside. It normally goes for $300, so this is one of the better discounts if you’ve had your eye on a dedicated car or spot-cleaning vacuum.
