If you took one of those tiny Japanese notebook computers and crammed them into a single enclosure, you’d get something quite a bit like this e-Lets Be Silent Mt6600, a desktop PC just a hair over 8 inches square. Powered by a Transmeta Efficeon processor (at speeds up to 1.3GHz, I think) it has space for just a single 2.5-inch hard drive, but manages to squeeze in two USB 2.0 ports, a VGA out, and two PS/2 ports (not to mention anachronistic serial and parallel ports—I guess they were thinking quasi-embedded applications instead of ‘small as possible.’)
The Mt6600 is scheduled to be released in the middle of this month for around $875.
