eBay: Apple Twentieth Anniversary Mac

By

Reading time 1 minute

Someone is selling a mint-condition Twentieth Anniversary Mac on eBay – the same machine that gave a nod to the first Macs and yet heralded the future of Apple design in the iMac G5. I’ve always had a soft spot for the TAM; it was the first Mac to really catch my eye, and I thought about it a lot back when they released it (and how much I wished it were a PC, at the time). The 240MHz G3 may seem quaint now (and that’s actually been upgraded from the original chip), but some of the built-in features, like a TV tuner with s-video input are still not standard in a lot of PCs, let alone the enswankings like a matching pen and pencil set and Italian leather upholstery.

Bidding is at $300 bucks or so now, but I’d expect it to go a lot higher. (Thanks, Steve!)
