Cingular got the Sony Ericsson S710a approved by the FCC, so that carrier-exclusive phone should be out fairly soon (although it might not be until January). The 1.3-megapixel phone with the camera-like profile can be yours today, though, for just $430+, as someone appears to be selling a Cingular-branded unit on eBay. I am simultaneously entertained and horrified by these type of auctions. Why anyone would pay multiple hundreds of dollars just to have a phone a few weeks earlier that others is beyond me, but I like to watch the hungry bid it up past all reason just the same.
