eBay: One of a Kind Ghostbusters Replica

By

Reading time 1 minute

When I linked to Jason Eaton’s amazing Maschinen Kreiger models yesterday (and subsequently almost threw him over his webserver’s bandwidth limits, hence the neutered post links as of this morning), I didn’t have any idea what a kindred Gizmodian spirit we’d found. You see, not only does Jason build terrifying robot models from a far-flung Nazi future, he also happens to have created one of the most complete Ghostbusters’ replicas I’ve ever seen. Not only does the suit look part-for-part like OEM SpenglerWear™, the equipment actually lights up and plays sounds sample straight from the movie. He’s even got a modified Mt500 hand-held radio that plays back the lines of dialog that were spoken over the radio in the movie.

But sadly, every geek has his price, and a desire for a house of his own has forced Eaton to sell his masterpiece on eBay, where you can check out detailed pictures of the suit, as well as read a little bit about what all was involved to create the head-to-toe Ghostbusters replica (he’s even throwing in the jumpsuit and boots). Plus this time around, he’s hosted all his photos and movies on Mac.com, so Apple can bear the brunt when we cross the Gizmodo and Ghostbusters streams.
