What's eating Fox News' Shep Smith these days? Apparently, it's AT&T's new policy regarding customers with high data usage. Shep got a friendly text from AT&T informing him that he might find his 3G speed a bit throttled unless he switches over to a tiered data plan. Smith has been known to go off script every now and then to give the world a piece of his mind. I can't say I disagree with his chosen target this time. Give 'em hell, Shep! [BuzzFeed]
To be fair. AT&T suggested he use wifi. And that's exactly what he should do. I don't know about him but I'm in a wifi spot about 90% of the time I use my phone. I guarantee you that at Fox News they have wifi and he probably spends a ton of time there.
Actually, I've encounter many people (friends, family, co-workers) that actually believe that using 3G is faster for data and better for your battery. WRONG! Its the complete opposite. What the hell got that idea into these people's heads?
Sorry. That was a bit of a rant huh? Can you tell I use to work in IT support? ;-)
