Cobra Commander will have his mask in the new G.I. Joe movie… but it won’t be the same as the TV version, says producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. “I found some of the [mask] aspects a little KKK for me… so we tried to steer away from that image.” Yes, we wouldn’t want our maniacal supervillains to be insensitive or anything.
