I didn’t really want to see that new movie “Cellular” before, but after hearing that it’s about “getting [viewers] to identify with the frustrations of the police officer as he attempts to track down and rescue Ms. Basinger” using a crappy Nokia cellphone, I sort of started thinking that was maybe a little too close to real life to want to have to experience vicariously. The portrayal of cellular service – including the customer service – is apparently so awful in the movie that none of the American carriers approached allowed their service to be used in the film. I wonder if Kim Basinger sort of freaks out in the movie and twitches a lot like she does in real life? I would maybe pay to watch that.
