Looks like the HTC Evo is close to getting some 4G company. The Samsung SCH-R900 has been cleared for landing by the FCC, and is expected to be out by the end of the year.

The device will come from MetroPCS, and will contain a 1700/1900 MHz LTE radio, Wi-Fi, and bluetooth and will be CDMA-compatible as well. More details—operating system, hardware specs—aren’t available yet. But LTE networks will be coming online soon, and it’s reassuring to know we’ll actually have phones that can take advantage.
