It’s not quite a review, but importer Play-Asia dropped about $1,500 on a charity auction that brought home a pre-release Sony PSP—but no games. There is a demo disc with videos, though, so they’ve got plenty of pictures and images of that, as well as the start up screens and the like (this setup screen, for instance).
The best news of English-speakers is that the devices ask you what interface language you’d like right at start up. Since the PSP is region-free, if you want to drop the extra cash to get yours early, there’s really no reason not to at this point. Unfortunately, it looks like Play-Asia is already sold out and it looks like Lik-Sang is, too. Strangely, that makes me want to import it more.
