Formac is ignoring their name and pushing their new Gallery Xtreme (Argh!) LCD monitors to both PC and Mac users alike, especially gamers. Their new 19-inch and 20.1-inch monitors have a fast pixel response time (just 15ms) but a reasonable price—just $600 and $900 respectively. If they perform as well as they should, the new line up should merit some attention if you’re in the market for a high-quality flat panel in the future.
I bet all these monitor producers are really happy that Apple dropped the cool-but-frustrating ADC connection for industry-standard DVI. There’s a lot of market to capture in the Apple display market since none of Apple’s monitors are exactly affordable.
