We were just mentioning the inclusion of Fossil’s Palm-powered Wrist PDA watch on Wired News list of last year’s most vaporous vaporware when the news comes that Fossil has scrapped the first version of the watch entirely and are now planning a more powerful version which is due out sometime around the middle of the year. To be fair, Fossil never released the watch in the first place because of the low quality of the LCD screens, and we’d much prefer they do that rather than knowingly put a sub-standard product out on the market (something we suspect a few other companies that we won’t name have done).
