Four Month, Cross-China Gear Test

We dropped a link to Dan Washburn’s blog entry four months ago at the start of his 18-province trip across China, when he listed all the gadgets he was planning on using along the way. Now he’s done—and not everything worked out as planned. I got a kick out of seeing what worked as expected, what didn’t work at all, and what just plain broked itself. The short take? Don’t buy wireless internet services in China unless you’re ready for a world of pain.
