Fujifilm DPC-UD1 xD Reader Reviewed

Reading time 1 minute

As far as flash memory formats go, xD Picture Card is probably one of my least favorite—it kills me to buy flash memory that I can’t use across different devices. If xD weren’t used by companies whose products I generally like (Fujifilm and Olympus, specifically) I’d probably write it off altogether. If you’ve gotten snookered into the format, though, Fujifilm has released the DPC-UD1 flash drive that uses xD cards as storage. Not a breakthrough design or anything, but at least you can get a little more mileage out of something you’ve already shelled out the cash for.

Sadly, the $20 unit is only USB 1.1.
