Fujitsu has a new “PDA for Professionals” called the Multipad (“Leeloo Dallas, Multipad”), an oddly-shaped but strangely-appealing Pocket PC unit with built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Compact Flash, and miniSD slots, all wrapped around a 400MHz Intel CPU. Sadly, it still has the lower-resolution 320 by 240 screen that is typical of lower-ended PocketPCs. You’d think in something so full-featured (and full priced, likely) they would have sprung for the juicier screen.
Despite the numeric keypad, the Multipad isn’t a phone, either. Instead, it looks like its designed for use in inventory systems and other business-oriented applications.
