If the new G5 iMac has a goofy pyramid base, I’m going to flip out and assault Cupertino with my own army of samurai industrial designers. This image was included in a patent application filed on the 24th, which means it came out in the public eye today. My guess is that we’ll see the dual-arm iMac, but not with that base. It looks like an old cartoon freeweight, for crissakes! Of course, the other option is that Apple dropped this into the stream just to screw with our heads.
