For all the Android heads out there: if you have been waiting for the right moment to make an upgrade from your old phone to something new, now might be the time. Samsung released the Galaxy S26 lineup right before Spring, and now that we’re more than halfway through the year, its seeing some generous discounts.

Particularly, you can save big on the top-of-the-line model within Samsung’s lineup—the Galaxy S26 Ultra. At the time of writing, you can get the 256GB model of Samsung’s flagship smartphone on sale for as low as $1,030. This is is a $270 discount from its list price of $1,300. If you need a bit more storage that what that one provides, there is also an option with 512GB. This model is also on sale, coming down to just $1,250. That’s $250 lower than it’s old price of $1,500.

New to the S26 Ultra

Side-by-side, much of the latest release lines up pretty similarly to what was available with last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra. You’ll find the same battery life, the same processor and same RAM.

The main attraction for upgrading to the S26 Ultra is not found within the inner components, but on the screen itself. This new model introduces an all-new Privacy Display. This built-in functionality is able to prevent people in your immediate proximity from being able to see what you’re seeing on your phone, dimming the contents of the screen when viewed at an angle.

This behavior is pretty much exactly what can get with certain screen protector, the difference being for the S26 Ultra, this is working at the pixel level. It’s a setting that can be toggled on or off. Better yet, the setting can be applied based on the app you are using. Scrolling through TikToks and showing friends, you can have the Privacy Display off so every around the phone can see it clearly. Logging into your banking app to pay some bills? Have the setting turn on automatically to protect against prying eyes.

If you don’t need all the advanced features of the S26 Ultra, you can still save quite a bit on one of the less premium models. The 256G version of the standard Galaxy S26 is still at full price, but the 512GB version is as low as $200 off at just $1,100 (down from $900). For the middle child of the S26 family, the Galaxy S26+ currently has a sale on both the 256GB and 512GB models. The 256GB version is as low as just $900—a $200 discount from $1,100. Then there is the 512GB version which is now going for as low as $1,025—a $275 discount from $1,300.
