Nintendo has announced a new GameCube controller with the trademark green and blue theme of Mario’s beanpole brother, Luigi. In addition to the colors, an “L,” shaped like that on Luigi’s hat is printed on the front. Hard hitting news as it happens, folks.
Unfortunately, there’s not much chance we’ll get the controller here. It’s a prize for Club Nintendo members in Japan; a matching red and blue Mario controller was released just last month.

Update: Reader Mark Ellis points out that someone is auctioning the Mario controller on eBay for $125. That’s only 25% more expensive than the Gamecube.
