Gartner Analyst Warns: Corporate Thieves May Use Technology, Opposable Thumbs To Steal

ZDNetUK has a story about one analyst’s quest for relevancy as he warns companies of the gaping, oozing security risk that is the iPod. The idea, according to the yapping Gartner groupie, is that the iPod and other portable devices could be used to introduce viruses or — hold on to your hat, or anyone’s hat; just get one in your hand — copy data. How is your hat? Okay, great. Mine, too.

I remember the last scourge of data security we had like this. What was it called again? Oh, the floppy disk, right. I’m sure the network administrators are quaking in their Tevas.
