Reading time 2 minutes

The Fitbit Inspire 3 Health and Fitness Wristband is the most basic model available from Fitbit. The Inspire 3 has a small AMOLED touchscreen, monitors your heart rate and blood oxygen level (SpO2), offers sleep tracking, and lasts up to 10 days on a single charge. It can also track swims up to 50 feet underwater and is very lightweight, weighing under 1 ounce. Your Inspire 3 can sync with either an iOS or Android device, and it offers the same health trend graphs and weekly summary charts that have become Fitbit’s hallmark.

The Fitbit Inspire 3 is at $80 on Amazon right now, $20 below the $100 list price. That’s a 20% reduction.

A smartwatch to monitor every step of your fitness journey

Fitbit’s Heart Rate Monitoring feature continually records heart rate throughout the day via an optical heart rate sensor on the bottom of the band. The collected data is then used to determine how much time was spent in different Activity Zones based on heart rate, such as Fat Burn, Cardio, etc. The American Heart Association recommends that adults spend at least 150 minutes engaging in moderate to vigorous physical activity as part of their weekly routine. This is where Fitbit’s “Active Zone” measurement becomes important.

One of the best ways to use a fitness wearable like the Inspire 3 is to monitor your sleep. The Inspire 3 will record each night, when it detects you are in REM, light, or deep sleep, or awake. In the morning, it’ll generate a sleep score ranging from 1-100. Over time, recordings of your skin temperature fluctuations, breathing rate, and resting heart rate may indicate whether anything is medically, physically, mentally, or even emotionally affecting your body.

Fitbit’s Stress Management tool will measure electrodermal activity whenever you hold two fingers against the sides of your wristband for 2 minutes. When this measurement is made, it will evaluate and provide you with a daily Stress Management Score of 1-100 based on both your heart rate variability and your sleep last night.

Workout tracking supports 20+ exercise modes, including running, cycling, swimming, hiking, yoga, weight training, and HIIT. SmartTrack automatically detects and logs walks, runs, and bike rides without manual input, useful for people who tend to forget to start a workout before heading out the door.

Smartphone notifications for calls, texts, calendar events, and supported app alerts are displayed on the Inspire 3 from a paired phone. A six-month Fitbit Premium trial is included, unlocking Daily Readiness Score, advanced sleep analytics, guided workouts, and meditation content in the Fitbit app.

The Fitbit Inspire 3 normally lists at $100, with the current Amazon price at $80. At that drop, the Inspire 3 lands as a strong entry point for anyone curious about activity tracking without committing to a full smartwatch, and the included Premium trial provides time to figure out whether the deeper Fitbit features are worth keeping after the trial ends.
