Most fitness trackers come off at night because they need charging, so they miss the eight hours that tell you the most about your health. The Google Fitbit Inspire 3 Smartwatch lasts about ten days on a charge, so it stays on your wrist through the night and tracks your sleep stages, blood oxygen, and skin temperature while you’re out. It’s light enough that you forget it’s there, and it survives a swim down to 50 meters.
Head over to Amazon to get the Google Fitbit Inspire 3 Smartwatch for just $80, down from its usual price of $100. That’s a $20 discount and 20% off.
A smartwatch with a wide variety of features and sensors for every use case
The 0.8-inch color AMOLED touchscreen is the biggest change from the older Inspire models, which used a monochrome display you had to squint at outdoors. Color makes heart rate numbers and notifications readable in bright sun, and an always-on option lets you check the time without flicking your wrist.
The sleep tracking feature identifies what portion of your night was spent in light sleep, deep sleep, or REM sleep. It also gives you a daily Sleep Score at the beginning of each day reflecting how those three stages were completed during the previous night’s sleep. The smart wake alarm feature works with the sleep tracking feature to determine the optimal light stage of sleep when your body is likely ready to wake, around your desired alarm time. When it detects that light stage, it sends a vibration to wake you, which is a gentler way to wake up than hearing an alarm go off while you’re still in deep sleep.
The optical sensor continuously monitors heart rate throughout the entire day. This provides you with resting heart rate, high and low heart rate alerts, and irregular rhythm alerts that monitor for atrial fibrillation. SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring is performed nightly, and skin temperature variance, which can detect if you have a cold developing or your bedroom has become too hot, is monitored at the same time.
Over 20 exercise modes track running, cycling, swimming, yoga, and many other activities. SmartTrack will automatically begin tracking your activity without requiring any input from you. Active Zone Minutes measures time spent in elevated heart rate zones and does not simply add minutes based solely on steps taken.
Each day, a Stress Management Score is calculated using your heart rate data along with your sleep and daily physical activity data. In addition to viewing your stress score, you have access to guided breathing sessions built directly into the watch. You can use these sessions on stressful days when your stress management score shows you need help relaxing.
The Google Fitbit Inspire 3 Smartwatch is $80 right now instead of $100, and both small and large bands are included. Note that Daily Readiness Score and Sleep Profile require a Premium membership, though a free trial is included.
