Google Wants You to Use a Virtual AI ‘Teammate’
Google shared details of a new so-called “Teammate” powered by AI that’s supposed to perform a specific function accessible by a host of users. The example the company gave showed how it could be given the prompt to sniff out issues or monitor progress on group projects. Users in Google Chat can ask the AI Teammate queries about different projects under the group. There’s no word on when this could possibly come to users; there’s apparently still work needed to allow third-party AI models access to the Teammate system.
