If you’ve been keeping an eye on tech news, you’ve probably seen that Samsung just announced its new lineup of foldable smartphones. The Unpacked event earlier Wednesday had the company showing off the all-new Galaxy Z Flip8, Z Fold8, and ZFold Ultra. However, Samsung isn’t the only brand on the market with a series of phones that flip open. The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is a powerful alternative to Samsung and right now its seeing a pretty hefty discount at Amazon.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold comes in two different variants for storage capacities. The 256GB model, normally listed at $1,799, has come down in price to just $1,499. That 17% discount leads to a $300 savings. Likewise, the 512GB model which normally goes for $1,919 has dropped to only $1,619 price point—also a $300 savings amounting to a 16% discount.

The foldable phone from Samsung comes in two different colorways, a choice of jade or moonstone. Oddly, only the moonstone is discounted for the 256GB model, yet only the jade is discounted for the 512GB model.

On the outside, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold looks and behaves similar to a standard Pixel smartphone with its 6.4-inch screen. When opened up like a book, an additional screen twice the size of the outer screen is revealed.

Split Screen Experience

This allows for a more tablet-like experience when using your phone. You can even run two apps side by side via Split Screen. Open Google on one side while you have your text messages on the other, as you look up something a friend just asked you about. You can even drag and drop images from one app to another.

Google has employed a gearless, high-strength hinge that allows the phone to open up, revealing the second, larger screen. The hinge is built to last many cycles of opening and closing to support up to 10 years of use. The screen is also built from a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and is rated IP68 for both dust and water resistance.

The phone also support features enhanced by Gemini. You can take photos of things you see and ask for Gemini to identify them for you. You can use it to help plan your calendar and more.

When purchasing the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold through Amazon, its comes unlocked. You’ll be able to set it up with any carrier of your choice including major cellular providers like Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T.
