Remember that tortoise a while back that got an office chair wheel for a foot? Apparently, doing the same to a GorillaPod tripod transforms it into a smooth-panning, camera system.

Officially called the Cineskates Portable Tripod Dolly, it’s a Kickstarter project from Austin, TX, and consists of a set of Ballhead X mounts connected to wheels that attach to a GorillaPod tripod enabling fluid, rolling video. When they do hit the market (and they will), Cineskates will run about $200, though a $150 donation right now will net you the same. The Cineskate Kickstarter page has already raised over $55,000 towards its $20,000 goal, so expect to see a whole bunch of low-angle, rolling shots hitting Youtube soon. [Kickstarter via MobileMag]
