Haha This Guy Can't Stand Up Straight While Using the Oculus Rift

It's definitely true that Oculus Rift VR goggles are capable of wonderful miracles for a 90-year-old. As for normal people? We can barely keep our heads on or even stand up straight. This poor guy strapped himself to an Oculust Rift roller coaster simulation and almost destroyed the entire room trying to stay balanced. It's so good.

What the guy is seeing is a roller coaster demo made in the MTBS3D forums. I guess the moral of the story is to be like that 90-year-old woman, stay in your seat when you're going into another world. [YouTube via The Awesomer]

I call BS. His "reactions" don't match what's going on on the screen.

If this is like every other VR headset that's been kicking around since 1992 (small screens, close eye pieces that magnify the image, and possibly prisms in an attempt to get some depth of field), they'll be a recipe for eye strain, neck ache and really, really bad latency.

Plus its up there with Google-Glass in the "make me look like a twat" department, even if it isn't designed to be worn in public.
