Hose Clamps and Zip Ties Do Not a G4 Mount Make

This is what I saw when I walked out my door into my hallway this morning. See what happens when you give Danish artists computers? They get all arty with them.

I love my building.

Information about the show at Brooklyn’s Goliath Visual Space, of which this video feedback installation by Thomas Seest is just one of five works by Danish artists “responding to the first acclaimed photograph, taken in 1827 by Joseph Nic phore Ni pce, Point de vue du Gras,” after the jump.

Directions to Goliath Visual Space, 117 Dobbin Street, Greenpoint,

Brooklyn

By Subway:

Take the G Train to the Nassau Avenue stop. Walk 3 blocks East on

Nassau Avenue (towards McCarren Park, stay to the right of the small

triangular park and the school). Turn right onto Dobbin Street and walk

two blocks. Goliath Visual Space will be towards the end of the block

on your left.

Or

Take the L Train to the Bedford Avenue stop. Cross Bedford Avenue and

walk one block on North 7th Street. Turn right onto Berry Street and

walk 9 blocks (Berry will turn into Nassau Avenue). Turn left onto

Dobbin Street and walk 2 blocks. Goliath Visual Space will be towards

the end of the block on your left.

By Car:

From The Williamsburg Bridge:

Use the outer right hand lane across the Williamsburg Bridge and take

the first exit, Broadway West. Make a sharp right hand turn onto

Broadway. At the 2nd stoplight make a right onto Bedford Avenue. Stay

on Bedford for approximately 1.5 miles. After passing McCarren Park

make a left onto Manhattan Avenue. Go two blocks and make a left onto

Meserole Avenue. Go three blocks and make a left onto Dobbin Street.

Goliath Visual Space will be on your right.

BQE from Queens:

Take Exit 34, Meeker/Morgan. Continue stright on Meeker Avenue for 5

traffic lights. At the Mobil Station turn right onto McGuinness Avenue.

After approximately 7 traffic lights turn left onto Meserole Avenue. Go

6 blocks and make a left onto Dobbin Street. Goliath Visual Space will

be on your right.

BQE from South Brooklyn:

Take Exit 33, McGuinness/Humbolt. Stay to the left of the ramp, and

make a left onto McGuinness Boulevard (under the BQE). Go straight for

approximately 7 traffic lights and make a left onto Meserole Avenue.

After 6 blocks make a left onto Dobbin Street. Goliath Visual Space

will be on your right.

Queensboro Bridge:

Take lower roadway from 2nd Avenue and 59th Street. Stay to the right

and take the Jackson Avenue/25A West Exit. Go two blocks and turn right

onto Jackson Avenue/25A West. Continue straight past the Citibank

Building and PS1. At 11th Street, turn left onto the Pulaski Bridge and

continue straight on McGuinness Boulevard. After 9 traffic lights turn

right onto Meserole Ave. After 6 blocks make a left onto Dobbin Street.

Goliath Visual Space will be on your right.
