Word up to Archos and the official announcement of the Gmini XS200, the claimed “world’s smallest” 20GB MP3 player (and it does look pretty tiny) that happens to have an extremely pleasing price—just $250. Archos’s other new small player, the Gmini 400, is already my favorite portable video player of this generation, so I have high hopes for the Gmini 200. Their interfaces tend to be sort of crap—why we need an icon-based interface on a 2.2-inch greyscale LCD I don’t know—but they are passable, for sure, and you can’t beat that price with any stick.
