My frustration with the recent spate of keyboarded smartphones has almost convinced me to pick up a Windows Mobile device without QWERTY keypad. Near the top of the ‘under consideration’ list is the i-mate JAM, one of the smallest slate-styled Windows Mobile phones out there. Mozongo picked one up and seem pretty impressed by it, despite some minor issues with the touchscreen (hitting buttons with one’s ear when using the phone, for instance). It hasn’t quite sold me yet, but one thing is for certain—the i-mate JAM is the first Windows Mobile smartphone that’s small enough to go in my already bulging pockets.
