I haven’t used one, so I’m loathe to haterate it yet, but the Ideazon Zboard looks like a good idea that might not be as well executed as I’d like. The folding keyboards fit into a “Universal Base,” overlaying the keyboard internals with custom layouts designed to maximize your gaming (or business software using) abilities. It’s not a bad idea; it’s sort of like those old cardboard cutouts that used to come with games back when everyone had the same shaped keyboard, but where it seems to start sucking is in the most important area — the way it feels. I’ll reserve judgement for now, but the word on the street isn’t that good.
Plus, look at the one here, for Black Hawk Down. What happens if I want to type to my friends online? If I’m in the middle of a hot duel, I don’t have time to look down and find where the “VAV” keys are.
