If you know that you should be doing something besides watching TV, but just can’t bear to turn it off, perhaps the 90s-named ‘imedia_tv’ could help. It’s a thin film from Germany’s Light:Tools that diffuses the images on your TV into fat square or circular pixels, giving you the pleasant pretty lights to sooth you without anything recognizable to be distracted by. They even have a version for big screen televisions, if you want to get real fancy. I’d love to pick some of this up, if it were affordable, but unfortunately my German-parsing skills are, like the Statue of Liberty, kaput.
