iPodMods

Reading time 1 minute

As older-generation iPods start to creak and die, it’s good to see companies other than Apple spring up to address the eventual failings of the much-jostled hardware. Now I’ve never used these guys before, so don’t take this as a recommendation, per se, but iPodMods had announced a price drop on their iPod LED replacement program ($35 in five colors) and I also happened to notice that they did all sorts of other repair and mod work. As a third-generation iPod owner, I am sort of considering the rainbow-colored controls mod—if I’ve got those now-extraneous buttons, I might as well sport them.

Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with iPodMods (or any other iPod shop besides Apple themselves)?
