Sonance has morphed its oh-so discreet in-wall iPod Docking System into the free-standing FS Series. You can stream high quality audio and video from the generic looking dock via a multi-function cable you run through your walls (or behind the couch if you must) and straight into your receiver. The FS series allows you to sync your iPod with your computer, which is the big evolution from the in-wall docks. Sonance’s aesthetically-minded home theater core audience may not care about this convenience, however, when they can get some serious design jollies from the original Wall Docks that look like they were jacked from the proto-Danish, white-on-white living quarters seen on the spaceship Nostromo in Alien.
