iRiver is now selling a co-branded FM transmitter for its products (or anything with a headphone-out, really) called the AFT-100. It’s meant for in-car use, obviously, with front-mounted controls to change through the entire FM band—you can even save three presets, which is very cool. I’m sort of down on FM transmitters for my own personal use. Mostly when I drive, I’m on a road trip, which means that I have to change the frequency every 50 miles or so. My iTrip, while conveniently-sized, is an absolute horror when it comes to actual use, especially when driving. If I were buying another FM transmitter, I wouldn’t get one without the sort of visual controls that the AFT-100 has.
