Looks like ReignCom, the company behind iRiver, is working on an MP3 player with built-in WiFi that can wirelessly download music off of the Internet. There’s a lot of speculation that the next version of the iPod (the big one, not the little one) will have some sort of wireless capability. Being able to wirelessly sync an MP3 player with a computer isn’t all it’s cracked up to be (even 802.11g is considerably slower than Firewire, so so syncing would take a lot longer), but it’d be cool to be able to buy new songs from the iTunes store from any hotspot.
