Although I’ve decided that FM transmitters are about as effective for me as looking through my playlists and humming the songs, iRock has announced two new Beamit wireless adapters, the 440FM and 450FM. The lower-end model should probably be skipped over, as it’s not only funky looking but it also is limited to just 12 pre-set channels—it does plug into a car adapter, though. The 450FM, on the other hand, can run from battery or car adapter, but includes a tuner with 100 channels, which is an absolute necessity when using an FM transmitter as far as I’m concerned. Plus it looks like a space suppository and everybody knows that totally wicked.
The 440FM is $30; the 450FM is $40—I’d spring for the 450FM.

Update: Looks like The Gadgeteers did a review of the same model (branded as an Audia-x) just a few days back. (Thanks, Nathanael!)
