It was in October that we last mentioned the Jazz Mutant Lemur touchscreen music interface. At the time I was a bit dubious that a $2500 touchscreen would make it to market at all, even if it was particularly swanky (who doesn’t like the idea of making custom on-screen control surfaces, like knobs and sliders and strange blobs that shiver with sound?), but it looks like it’s going to happen: Cycling ’74 will be distributing the unit starting in April.

It might sound lame, but I bet someone is going to come up with some really brilliant ways to use this—and it might not even involve techno.
