The iRiver PMP-100 just barely started shipping here in the US and already Korean high school students are able to use them as studying devices. Test-prep company Koreaedu is offering downloadable lectures to help students gear up for the College Scholastic Ability Test, all free of charge. It’s a good press gimmick for iRiver, but also one of the first practical uses for a PMP that I’ve seen that sounds useful (if a little like mid-90s Amazing Internet Promises).
And yes, that’s just a stock image. Instructors at Koreaedu are probably not so hands on.
