External storage thugs LaCie have added a Serial ATA model to their line-up called ‘d2.’ Each drive will come bundled with a PC and Mac-compatible PCI card so you can, you know, actually use the thing (most PCs don’t have proper external SATA slots). Why would you need such a thing? It’ll be fast as a mug, to use the parlance of our times—literally as fast as any other SATA hard drive hooked up inside your PC.
