LEGO and Star Wars have been close partners since I was a kid. It was back during the original theatrical release of Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. In those two and a half decades since, LEGO has put out new Star Wars sets year after year, now in the thousands. So it only makes sense that with the introduction of everyone’s newest favorite character, we get a handful of sets depicting the little guy. I’m of course talking about Baby Yoda, errr, I mean Grogu.
After first showing up on Disney+ at the end of the premiere episode of The Mandalorian, this green and wrinkly member of Yoda’s species is making his way to the big screen. The Mandalorian and Grogu comes out this week, and in honor of the theatrical debut, this LEGO Star Wars Grogu set is now on sale. This LEGO Star Wars Grogu complete with hover pram playset normally sells for a full $100. However, Amazon has it down 30% which brings the price down to just $70 for a limited time.
The buildable Grogu contains 1,048 pieces and measure in at over seven inches high when in his hover pram. The little feller has dial-operated arms to lift them up and down as well as a posable head that tilts and swivels. Even his ears can be manipulated up and down to show emotion. You can chose to sit his little tuchus in the hover pram or stand him upright on his own.
Authentic Accessories
The LEGO Grogu comes with a few little doodads beyond his hover pram. There is the shifter knob metallic ball he took off Mando’s ship. It’s better suited as his toy anyway. Beyond that, there are a couple of cookies and the even tastier looking brick-built Sorgan frog.
If you intend on having this LEGO Star Wars Grogu with Hover Pram set up mainly for display purposes, you can place the included plaque on the shelf right beside it. This details biographical info about Grogu including his homeworld and species. Those fields are actually just left as “Unknown” but it also includes details like ages, height, and his primary associate. The plaque also comes paired with a LEGO minifigure of Grogu, complete with his own miniature hover pram.
