It looks like Nintendo is definitely going to win the sales numbers battle in the DS versus PSP war, simply because Sony isn’t going to have enough units to meet demand in Japan. According to this story on IDG, Sony plans to have only 500k units shipping in Japan before year’s end, compared to Nintendo’s 1 million. I think the first year’s sales are basically up in the air, to be honest, but it’s a less-than-stellar launch for Sony, who I think has the tougher row to hoe.
Some small retailers, sadly, won’t even be getting any stock at all. (Thanks, Jean!)
