Logitech has a new device coming out called the MediaPlay Cordless that is both a mouse and a remote all at once. Although they don’t say for certain, since I can’t see any IR windows on the front, I think it’s safe to assume it uses RF to send its signal. For $50 it’s probably worth checking out if you use a media center PC, but since it doesn’t look to be designed to work with a lot of actual home theater A/V equipment, those in search of a more hard core remote should probably look elsewhere (perhaps even to some of Logitech’s other remotes).
