When Logitech released its recent MX 1000 “Laser Mouse,” I think a lot of use were questioning if it really was any better than a good ol’ LED optical version. The problem is, there really isn’t any benchmark you can use to objectively test it, either, so when Tom’s Hardware says that it’s the best mouse they’ve ever used, you sort of have to take it with a grain of salt. Not that it might not be the best mouse ever created, but you’ll certainly want to try one for yourself before dropping $80 on one. The Tom’s review, though, at least let’s you know that it’s worth considering, so I thought I’d mention it.
