Strathclyde and central Scotland have began experimenting with a new gadget to help in deterring knife-fights on the streets. They will begin using gloves equipped with metal detectors to quickly scan individuals for metal objects, specifically weapons. The Kevlar gloves will vibrate at the wrist upon discovery of a metal object. These gloves run £200 or approximately $368 a pop. Product image courtesy of BBC.
