ActiveWin got a hold of Microsoft’s Fall mouse and keyboard lineup, if that’s the sort of thing that gets you going. Although for the most part the new peripherals look like more of the same (which isn’t necessarily bad), at least two of the products – the “Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer with Fingerprint Reader Windows USB” and the “Optical Desktop with Fingerprint Feature USB” – feature a biometric security fingerprint scanner (presumably with accompanying software).
Even better, it looks like on at least two of the keyboards they’ve gone back to the standard arrow key cross, delete/insert group, and function key layout. (Thanks, Christoph!)
