Microvision’s Nomad is an industrial-strength heads-up display that, along with accompanying PocketPC, overlays a red monochrome display over the user’s vision, using a WiFi connection and Windows Terminal Server. The $4,000 price tag should be a hint that it isn’t designed for casual users, instead aimed at auto mechanics and other technicians who need quick access to a variety of schematics and diagnostics information. It also looks remarkably like the headset worn by Geordi LaForge, except it sits above the eyes instead of over them. (Thanks, Timothy!)
